Pepito Munoz, previous owner and founder of Pepito’s and Co. before it abruptly shut down in January 2022, has announced plans for his next venture.
Munoz has decided to let go of the past and embrace this new chapter of his life with a new name. The new restaurant will be called Pepito XO Global Cuisine.
Pepito also confirmed that the long-rumored new location, previously reported by Shreveport’s Secrets, is where it will be located. The new restaurant will open in the old Trejos on Youree, located at 5815 Youree Drive.
“We have the name, the location, the idea, the concept, and tremendous team,” Pepito shared on social media. It appears based on previously social media posts by Munoz that he plans to bring back the majority of his previous staff.
“Leaving Pepito’s & Co Grill and Cantina behind with a lot of pain and forever beloved. Always grateful for all of the people who worked hard and also for those who did not, for the support of so many and also for those who did not, but mainly to God, my family, and my friends for one more opportunity.”
Construction is already underway at the new location; however, it’s unclear when the restaurant is expected to open. We will update this article if we learn more.
“No one will able to stop us,” Pepito shared enthusiastically. “No more nightmares… just waiting for a dream… just one to come true.”
