Housed in one of Shreveport, Louisana’s oldest buildings, the Spring Street Museum allows us a chance to dive back into the past! The building is full of interactive exhibits and intriguing relicts ranging from antique maps, photographs, firearms, and more.

Multicultural Center of the South

The Multicultural Center of the South, located in the heart of downtown Shreveport, works to encourage visitors to learn about practices and traditions from other places. They host numerous cultural exhibits, musical programs, artistic endeavors, and demonstrations throughout the year to transport visitors to distant lands around the world.

They particularly strive to host exhibits that reflect a variety of cultures present in our area including: Mexican, Native American, African-America, and many more.

A little rain doesn’t have to kill your shopping vibe! There are plenty of your favorite stores all under roof, including American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Dillard’s, and more! Get a little hungry while you’re shopping? You might want to check out Piccadilly’s, Great American Cookie, or Auntie Anne’s to cure your appetite.

Meadows Museum of Art

The Meadows Museum of Art is located on Centenary College of Louisiana’s campus, right off Centenary Boulevard. The museum is an educational unit of the college that is dedicated to presenting original, compelling, and diversified visual art programming.

They have a rotating schedule of amazing exhibits presented by both local and national artists, as well as Centenary Students. The “Centenary in Paris” exhibit has become a staple of the museum, showcasing work created by students and inspired by their studies in Paris, France during the “Centenary in Paris” program.

The Sci-Port Discovery Center located near Downtown Shreveport is jam packed with all sorts of fun for the whole family! And it’s all indoors. The multi-level center boast tons of educational activities for people of all ages, allowing you to engage in the world of mathematics, science, and technology. Daily, public programs are included with your admission as well as access to the planetarium programs. The building even has Louisiana’s ONLY dome IMAX theater!
