Superior Grill, a beloved culinary destination on Line Ave. in Shreveport, will temporarily close following a recent fire incident on February 15th. The establishment anticipates a closure period of 2-3 weeks as it addresses extensive roof and smoke damage resulting from the unfortunate event.
The fire, suspected to have been ignited by an electrical problem near the roof, prompted swift action from both patrons and staff. While the fire occurred during operational hours, no injuries were reported thanks to the quick response and coordination of individuals on-site.
Superior Grill renovation efforts underway
The following day renovation efforts commenced immediately to rectify the damage sustained to the roof and mitigate smoke-related issues. Notably, the prompt response from 11 fire units and over 20 firefighters, who arrived within minutes of the incident, facilitated the rapid containment of the blaze, ultimately preventing further damage.
Superior Grill assures its loyal customers that restoration efforts are well underway, with a focus on ensuring a seamless and enhanced dining experience upon reopening.
“Tonight an electrical fire started on the roof over the kitchen,” Superior Grill shared via Facebook shortly after the incident. “Most importantly, all our patrons and teammates made it out safely. We will further assess the damage Friday and let the community know when we can again open our doors to Shreveport and all our friends in our 41st year.”
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Superior Grill is pleased to confirm that its iconic margarita machine remains unharmed, and minimal damage was sustained in the dining areas.
