ShrevePride’s Q-Prom is ready to set sail and “Seas Shreveport” for a cruise-themed adventure! Everyone is invited to join this second chance prom experience with ShrevePride on Saturday, June 24th from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. at artspace in downtown Shreveport.
“Once again, we are bringing an incredibly unique Pride experience to Shreveport for our community members and visitors to enjoy,” said event co-founder Chris Lyon. “Plus, we are so excited to return to our original Q-Prom venue at artspace in our city’s downtown.”
Shreveport Q-Prom is the flagship event for ShrevePride, which started in 2019 and quickly became the largest Pride event in the Ark-La-Tex. The event offers a second chance to experience an important life event, prom — with no judgment this time. Come with your significant other, a date, friends, or by yourself to make new friends. All are welcome, whether you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally. But Q-Prom is so much more than a typical dance. Surprises lie around every corner at this year’s cruise-themed experience.
Q-Prom’s “Seas Shreveport” event will be a multi-floor experience inspired by the high seas, featuring unique spaces, games, live entertainment — including music, comedy, short films, interactive events, drag performances, and more, which can be seen throughout the evening. There is even a limited seating, three course pre-prom dinner available at Pepito XO Saturday, June 24th at 5:30 pm conveniently located next door to artspace.
“Creating a complete experience for our guests is so important for us,” said co-founder Sam Ortiz. “Dining at Pepito XO before Q-Prom makes attending such a breeze, just like a dining room on a cruise! Plus the custom-designed dishes are incredibly delicious.”
Tickets to Q-Prom start at $35 and are on sale now at ShrevePride.com. The Pepito XO dinner package includes a discounted ticket to the event. For those who would otherwise be unable to attend, ShrevePride offers Scholarship Tickets, funded by generous donors, in order to keep Q-Prom accessible to everyone.
