Celebrating its 46th anniversary this year, the Red River Revel Arts Festival returns October 1 – 9, 2022 to Downtown Shreveport. This year, the Red River Revel Arts Festival has partnered with the Downtown Development Authority for a new initiative called “Revel+”, which will include a free shuttle service and specials and/or discounts at a variety of downtown businesses. The shuttle service, operated by SporTran, will have seven stops and 34 points of interest to explore the downtown area. The Revel Band (wristband) will grant festival goers access to dozens of shopping, dining, and drink specials, along with discounted admission to post parties.
“As a non-profit doing business in Downtown Shreveport, our aim is to amplify the options people have for entertainment and hospitality while also supporting local business. Revel Plus allows the festival to expand its reach beyond Festival Plaza. And our friends in downtown have the opportunity to capitalize on the traffic the Red River Revel brings to the table. Our goals for increased traffic are aligned and now our programming is too. This is the first step in creating a win-win culture for downtown business and entertainment” said Logan Lewis, Executive Director of the Red River Revel.
“We love our festivals but have never truly had them integrate into downtown until now. Revel Plus is going to encourage the thousands of Revel visitors to really explore what downtown has to offer, but with benefits! We’ll be unveiling all sorts of downtown Revel week specials that will be unlocked with your Revel digital wristband” said Liz Swaine, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Authority.

The free shuttle will run on Thursday and Friday October 6th-7th from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM, as well as 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM on both Saturdays, October 1st & 8th. For shuttle route, stops, attractions, and special downtown deals, visit https://downtownshreveport.com/revel-plus-deals-downtown/.
Parking: Free parking is available after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends on metered spots in downtown Shreveport. Free parking is available in designated Revel parking lots. Parking map can be found at www.redriverrevel.com.
