On Tuesday, Feb 22, the lighting of the Bakowski Bridge of Lights on the Texas Street Bridge will take place. The celebration will play host to live entertainment, an arts market, light show, fireworks, food trucks, and more.
When the “Bakowski Bridge of Lights” on the Texas Street Bridge is lit, there will be a group wedding of all partners who wish to be married in a special ceremony. A similar group ceremony was held in 1993 on the bridge.

All couples will be in a drawing for a grand prize honeymoon sponsored by KTBS-TV. KTBS 3 News winners of the honeymoon weekend (Feb. 25 and 26, 2022) will receive a deluxe balcony room at Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City, overlooking the “Bakowski Bridge of Lights.” The weekend includes a dinner for two at Jimmy’s Steakhouse and breakfast in the Riverview Café.
