Local entrepreneur, Ben Whalen, first opened Ben’s Body Basics back in 2017. His natural bath and body products quickly became sought after items at local festivals, pop ups, and markets. Since then, his product lines have continued to expand, creating an itch for a more sophisticated branding that matched the hand-crafted touch and love he places into each and every item.
Whalen has been hard at work transforming a portion of the Andress Artist and Entrepreneur Center into his new storefront. New signage has gone up on the outside of the building. Additionally, modern, wood shelving has been installed to showcase his candle lines, hand-made baskets, personal gifts, and more.
His new storefront will be opening to the public with a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, September 10th from 10am until 6pm. You’ll be able to experience his new storefront as well as sample some of his products and explore his new items. And, it is definitely just that… an experience. I have not seen anything else like it in town! It is absolutely gorgeous. There will also be local artists and food trucks available that day as well.
This storefront is just the beginning in a long list of expansions and experiences Ben has planned for the new space and beyond.
