Brie Silva, known to many as ZaZa Gigante, was recently crowned Miss Louisiana USofA Diva 2022 on January 29th in Houma, Louisiana. This incredible win was only elevated by the reveal that they’d placed first in all categories, a statistically challenging feat considering the number of competitors. Now with this accomplishment under their belt the next step is nationals and we’re ready to cheer them on to another win!
Originally from New York, Gigante moved to Shreveport a couple years ago and brought the elegant lights and style of New York to Shreveport-Bossier. Now resident to the area, they’re the founding show director for drag shows at Bear’s on Fairfield and are a regular cast member of Central Station’s 1025 Divas. Over the last few years they’ve shared their artistry with the Northwest Louisiana community, delighting the masses with dynamic performances and showcasing incredible stage presence time and again.
Miss Louisiana USofA Diva is Gigante’s first pageant and they are extremely humbled by the opportunity to represent Louisiana going forward.
In response to their win Zaza had this to say, “Yesterday, I was your contestant #5 for Miss Louisiana USofA Diva,” they continue, “Today, I am humbled to say I am your reigning queen.”
Pageant prep is a massive undertaking requiring a team of committed, experienced professionals to construct a winning package. Zaza, overwhelmed by the level of support provided shared words of thanks, “I pushed through adversity, and was blessed with a team that poured so much love into me, that regardless of the outcome I would have won.”
