The 46th Red River Revel Arts Festival is now accepting submissions from visual and performing artists. The annual event returns to downtown Shreveport from October 1 – 9, 2022 for its 46th annual outdoor exhibition in celebration of the arts. The renowned festival attracts a diverse audience of over 75,000 attendees annually and features visual artists, two performance stages, art activities, food, and cultural traditions.
Visual Artists: The work of 75+ artists will be selected by a panel of jurors in the categories of ceramics/potter, computer/generated art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics/printmaking, jewelry, metal, miscellaneous, mixed media, oil/acrylics, photography, sculpture, watercolor, and wood. Artwork must be original, designed and produced by the exhibiting artist(s). No commercial reproductions will be allowed. Award recognition and cash prizes will be awarded. Applications are open now through June 30, 2022 with a submission fee of $40.00.
Music and Performing Artists: Over 75 music and performing artists will be selected in the categories of music, theatrical, dance/cheer and more. Music selections are based on the quality of the submissions. Musical acts that are not represented by a touring agency must submit an application to be considered. Applications are open now through July 15, 2022 with a submission fee based on the chosen category. Both applications should be submitted at www.redriverrevel.com.
