The Bossier City Council is considering selling 5.33 acres and leasing an additional 21.186 acres near the Louisiana Boardwalk to Chasing Aces Entertainment. The land is set to be developed into a 2-story sports entertainment venue, along with a restaurant and other amenities. The facility is said to be similar to Top Golf venues found elsewhere across the U.S.
The council will be hearing any objections to the project at their April 4 meeting. According to the council’s resolution, both the Bossier City Council and Mayor Chandler express support for the project.
The resolution goes on to state that they believe the project will generate considerable tax revenue and the location of the city-owned property is uniquely situated to ensure success of the project.
The company is buying the 5.33 acres for $615,000 and the 21.186 acres is being leased by Chasing Aces Entertainment at $82,500 per year. The opening date for the new facility is expected to be announced shortly after the Council’s approval.
