Today, I ventured down E. Flournoy Lucas, right off of Youree Drive in Shreveport to a small, family-owned restaurant called Gullo’s. The restaurant is located on a farm! Does it get any more local than that?
As I entered I was greeted by friendly faces and the tradition’s of the Gullo family were immediately apparent. Black and white photos of family members hung on the walls behind the tables.

I ordered the Weekender Combo that included their award-winning hamburger with a side of fries. I was not disappointed. The Gullo family’s tradition of excellence was evident in every bite.
The crunchiness of the onion ring and bacon, along with the sweet, softness of the bun, made for a delectable meal.
The portions were huge as well! This is definitely a two-handed burger. I left full, satisfied, and eager to return again soon.
The Weekender Combo is available for only $10 during 318 Restaurant Week. 318 Restaurant Week is a week-long project of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to help promote and support local restaurants. The event runs from March 15 until March 20, 2021.
