The City of Shreveport is inviting the public to attend a panel discussion aimed at addressing misconceptions surrounding the Real Time Crime Center. The “Real Talk on the Real Time Crime Center” will include Mayor Adrian Perkins, Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith, Chief Technology Officer Keith Hanson, and Real Time Crime Center Manager Kevin Thomas answering questions about the operations surrounding the Real Time Crime Center.
The talk will take place at Government Chambers located on 505 Travis Street on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 5pm.
The event will be also be streamed live on Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins’ Facebook page and shown on Comcast channel 6.
Questions can be submitted ahead of the program at safershreveport@shreveportla.gov. RTCC leadership will also be available to answer questions from citizens immediately following the program.
The City of Shreveport Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) assists local law enforcement by capitalizing on an ever-expanding range of technologies for efficient and effective policing. The center allows law enforcement officers to respond quicker, or even immediately, as crimes are in progress, while keeping officers and citizens safer. It also provides additional details and information for crimes that have recently occurred.
The City of Shreveport Real Time Crime Center is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week in order to maximize effectiveness and to better assist partnering agencies and public safety.
