The Bossier Arts Council has announced Brittainy Pope as their new Executive Director.
Brittainy Pope has committed her life to the uplifting of others in every way imaginable. A lifelong learner, she strives to help others find their proficiencies and pursue their passions through creativity, education, and entertainment.
Her love of culture and literature was developed during her childhood growing up in South Louisiana with her late mother, and has bloomed throughout the years wherever she has been planted. Her understanding of how important the arts are to society was formed by her grandfather Joseph H. Pope.
She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Shreveport, with nearly 18 years of youth programming experience, 10 years of public service, and several years of voluntarism in the arts community via organizations like the Bossier Arts Council, Shreveport Regional Arts Council, Red River Revel, and more! She also devotes time to additional community causes via organizations such as the The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc.
Beyond advocacy and leadership, the 2021 40 Under Forty honoree finds joy in the performing arts as an actress. After a decade of serving the public via Bossier Parish Libraries, she is honored and excited to continue serving Bossier Parish as the Executive Director of the Bossier Arts Council.
The Bossier Arts Council is dedicated to promoting, supporting, and providing cultural events and programming in order to enhance the quality of life and to develop a cultural identity for Bossier Parish.
