United Way of Northwest Louisiana (UWNWLA) invites its supporters to Tails & Ales: A Celebration of Impact, presented by Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City, on March 20 at Paradise Theater inside Margaritaville Resort Casino. Event sponsors are invited to attend an exclusive VIP mixer at 5 p.m., leading up to the official event start time at 6 p.m. This event is made possible thanks to sponsors, including Raymond James, Brentwood Hospital of Shreveport, and ANECA Federal Credit Union.

Tails & Ales is dedicated to honoring companies and donors who partnered with UWNWLA to make 2024 a success and shares UWNWLA’s fundraising and impact results from the year. UWNWLA is celebrating with a seafood boil, live music by Everett Street Jazz, and awards recognizing the organization’s top supporters. By purchasing a ticket, attendees will receive access to the seafood buffet or burger bar, complimentary ales from Great Raft Brewery and Eagle Distributing, and complimentary wine from Cuban Liquor.

“Every year, we have amazing supporters that donate their time, talent, and dollars to helping our organization and community thrive,” said UWNWLA President & CEO LaToria W. Thomas. “We look forward to this annual event as it’s an opportunity for us to properly thank and honor approximately 100 partner companies that bring success to our organization and, most importantly, community.”

To highlight our community’s philanthropists and philanthropic businesses, UWNWLA will present annual awards, including the Clyde E. Fant Memorial Award. The distinguished Clyde E. Fant Award recognizes an individual who has contributed to the community and UWNWLA through leadership, campaign, or other volunteer efforts. This year, UWNWLA is honoring Sonja Bailes, Public Relations Liaison of Bossier Parish Schools, for her outstanding volunteerism and leadership through United Way initiatives. The Clyde E. Fant Memorial Award has been awarded to community philanthropists since 1949. Former recipients include Virginia K. Shehee, 1975; Mary Ann Selber, 2001; Jaf Fielder, 2023; and Grant Nuckolls and Andrew Crawford, 2024.

UWNWLA fights for the health, education, financial stability, and essential needs of everyone in its ten-parish footprint and is honored to recognize those who mobilize its mission. All ticket purchases will help UWNWLA kick off another year of impact, funding its programs and services that aid more than 100,000 lives annually. To purchase tickets to Tails & Ales, please visit https://unitedwaynwla.org/tails-ales/
