Tickets are now on sale for Shreveport Little Theatre’s 103rd Season Christmas production of It’s A Wonderful Life – The Musical by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer. The musical, based on the beloved 1946 film, faithfully follows George Bailey’s life from his childhood dreams to his midlife disappointments and beyond, as we all take a journey to discover whether his life has mattered at all.
Cinematically scored and theatrically staged, this adaptation breathes musical life into a familiar story, while retaining the warmth, humor, and pathos of the original.
The cast is led by Luke Digilormo as George Bailey, with Wallace Rakoczy starring as Mary Hatch Bailey, Terry Petzold starring as Clarence Oddbody, and Scott Hardwick as Henry Potter. The cast also features Terry Wright playing Uncle Billy, Camryn Orr playing Cousin Tilly, Andrew Thrasher playing Harry Bailey, Isabelle Rawle as Violet Bick, Morgan Tarpley Smith as Ma Bailey, Leslie Hobgood as Mrs. Martini, Rick Stovall as Mr. Martini and Kerry Kirspel as Mr. Gower. The Bailey children include Cecilia Rawle as Janie, Max Herrick as Pete, Robert Rawle as Tommy, and Lorelei Ivy as Zuzu. Rounding out the cast is Amelia Cole, Ann Marie McCowen, Ariana Gestal Gurr, Barry Larson, Brianna Gutierrez, Brittany Gay, Don Thomas, Gabby Coleman, John Brewer, John Medlin, Karalyn Crawford, Lauren Holland, Madisen Martin, Marshall Gawel, Molly Cole, Ron Walsworth, and Saige Williams.
Shreveport Little Theatre Artistic Director Laura Beeman Nugent directs and choreographs the show, with Adam Philley serving as Music Director. Saige Williams serves as Production Stage Manager and the production staff includes Brianna Guitierrez as Dance Captain, David White as Set Designer and Set Construction, Julie Edwards as Light Designer, Barry Butler as Sound Designer, and Susan Beal as Costumer.
It’s A Wonderful Life – The Musical runs for two consecutive weekends, opening December 13 with performances on the 14, 20, and 21 at 7:30 PM and December 15, 21, and 22 at 2:00 PM.
