After a decade-long absence, indoor football is making a return to Shreveport-Bossier! The Shreveport Rouxgaroux are set to deliver top-notch professional football and unparalleled entertainment to fans.

Shreveport Rouxgaroux Head Coach
Shreveport Rouxgaroux, the latest addition to the National Arena League, announced Pat Pimmel as the team’s head coach for their inaugural season. Pimmel brings nearly three decades of coaching experience across various indoor football leagues, including the AFL, CIF, and IFL.
Known for his ability to turn teams around, Pimmel’s leadership and deep knowledge of the game make him the ideal choice to guide the Rouxgaroux as they prepare for their debut in the 2025 season. His focus on professionalism and community engagement promises to create a winning culture both on and off the field.
Team Announcements
The team held tryouts at D1 Training on Sept. 22. They have begun announcing signees including Trevon Gauno of Houma, LA, who was featured on Netflix’s Last Chance U; Zachary Hannibal of Monroe, LA; Le’Kelan Bougere of Gray, LA; Brandon Unangst of Brevard College; Malik Honeycutt of Tallahassee, FL; David Calderon of Willingboro, NJ; D’Nerius Antoine of New Iberia, LA; Eric Thomas of Shreveport, LA; and Aaron Dilworth of Corpus Christi, TX;
Shreveport’s History of Football Teams
Bossier City Battle Wings
The Bossier City Battle Wings, another Shreveport-Bossier indoor football team, launched in 2001. The league folded in 2009, leaving the community void of another team. The Battle Wings played at what was then the Centurylink Center, now called the Brookshire Grocery Arena.
Centenary College Football
Centenary College of Louisiana recently announced they’ve formed a football team as well. In a landmark moment for Centenary athletics, the administration shared the team was the first in more than 50 years. Official season games are set to begin in the Fall of 2024.
