Mayor Tom Arceneaux announced the official launch of the City of Shreveport’s new Economic Development One-Stop Shop, a digital platform designed to make it easier, faster, and more transparent to start or grow a business in Shreveport.
This centralized resource offers streamlined access to key information on permits, licensing, zoning, site selection, business incentives, and more—bringing together multiple departments in a user-friendly, modern interface. The site has checklists for the steps to open a retail store, restaurant, home-based business, or food truck.
The site was designed and built entirely in-house by the City’s Economic Development and Information Technology teams, saving taxpayer dollars while delivering a high-value tool for the business community.
“This website is about Shreveport being a city that welcomes business,” said Mayor Tom Arceneaux. “For too long, doing business in Shreveport has meant chasing down forms, calling multiple offices, or relying on word of mouth. Now, we have a single access point where entrepreneurs, developers, and community partners can get moving faster and with more confidence.”
The One-Stop Shop reflects a shift in city philosophy—from bureaucracy to support. It features simplified guides for starting a business, real estate development resources, updated permitting timelines, and links to city and regional partners. While not a comprehensive portal for every department or aspect of the city yet, the site functions as a highlight reel for business-friendly reform and will continue to grow and evolve based on user feedback.
“We want this to be a living platform,” said Bill Sabo, Director of Economic Development. “It’s not static, and it’s not finished. We invite local businesses, chambers of commerce, real estate professionals, or any other partner to link to it, and promote it. This is a tool we’re building together, for the future of Shreveport.”
In addition to reducing confusion and paperwork, the website serves as a signal to investors and entrepreneurs that Shreveport is serious about making it easier to operate here. The tool supports the Arceneaux administration’s broader mission to modernize City Hall, reduce regulatory friction, and foster inclusive growth across all neighborhoods.
