Real Estate to the Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to addressing and impacting the plight of homeless pets in our community, is excited to announce the 9th Annual Paws in the Park event. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Riverpark Church, located at 3232 E 70th Street, Shreveport, LA.
What is Paws in the Park 2024?
Paws in the Park is a family-friendly, pet-focused event that brings together local animal rescues and advocacy groups, all working towards the common goal of finding forever homes for adoptable animals. They encourage attendees to bring their friendly, vaccinated, and leashed pets to join in on the fun!
What can you expect at the event?
The event will feature:
- Adoptable Animals: Local animal rescues and advocacy groups with pets ready for adoption.
- Raffle Area: A chance to win amazing prizes.
- Cake Walk: A fun activity for all ages.
- Inflatables & Face Painting: Kid-friendly entertainment.
- Carnival Games: Traditional games for the entire family.
- Food Trucks: A variety of delicious food options.
- Pet Costume Contest: At 1:00 PM on the Main Stage, with exciting prizes for the best-dressed pets.
- Pup Cup Eating Contest: At 11:00 AM on the Main Stage, where pets can compete for cool prizes.
Admission is only $1 for children 12 and under and $2 for adults. All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting over 15 local animal rescues and advocacy groups. To date, Paws in the Park has raised and donated over $125,000 and facilitated the adoption of over 400 animals through this annual event.
