The Prize Foundation is thrilled to announce the ten stand-up comedians who will compete at this year’s Comedy Prize competition, taking place during the highly anticipated Prize Fest 2024, running from October 16–20 in downtown Shreveport.
The finalists were revealed in a video announcement focused on the incredible lineup of performers. The lineup includes late night show favorites like Mike Feeney, Netflix is a Joke superstar Jay Washington, Emmy-Award winning, Funniest Comic in New York Matt Koff, Grace Johnson and others.

This year, Comedy Prize will take place at the Remington Garage on October 17, and it will be doubling in size. There will be 10 comedians performing at two shows, an early show and a late show.
“We’ve never had a lineup like this, and we are so excited about the performers who are taking the stage,” said Gregory Kallenberg, Executive Director of the Prize Foundation. “This is always a hot ticket and, with this amazing lineup, I imagine that it will sell out soon.”
Comedy Prize offers a national platform for rising comedians, providing not only the chance to win a $2,500 cash prize but also invaluable opportunities to network with influential professionals in the comedy industry. This year’s roster of judges include people like Michael Cox (The Jimmy Fallon Show), Charlie Sotelo (SXSW Comedy), Emilie Laford (Comedy Store), Bart Coleman (Live Nation Comedy) and Elizabeth Furiati (Comedy Cellar).
“To have these comedy industry luminaries travel to Shreveport for Comedy Prize and help these comedians advance their careers shines a light on our town and on Prize Fest,” said Kallenberg. “It’s going to be an epic night of comedy, and I hope everyone is there to see it!”
Each finalist will perform a 7–10 minute set, with their performances being judged by a panel of industry professionals. The winner will not only walk away with a cash prize but also with industry connections that could take their comedy career to the next level.
Prize Fest 2024 promises to be an unforgettable event with even more to enjoy, including Film Prize, Music Prize, Food Prize, and more. Festival-goers can expect a strong lineup of indie film shorts, all genres of music, celebrity judges, and opportunities to engage with some of the best emerging creative talent from Northwest Louisiana and around the country.
